혼돈의 시절 신과 인간, 마물들 간의 경계가 없고, 삼라만상이 혼돈과 충돌 속에 있던 시절.
1000년의 혼돈을 정리한 자가 나타난다.
그는 모든 혼돈을 정리하고 하늘과 땅, 땅속의 끝나는 곳 ‘올레 아일랜드’에 중심을 잡고 제국을 세운다.
신들과 인간이 공존하는 ‘올레 아일랜드’의 중심인 천상황제는 다시 1000년이라는 세월 동안 흔들림 없이 제국에 기둥이 된다.
1000년이 세월을 뒤로하고 이제 천상황제는 후계자인 ‘문황자’에게 그 자리를 물려주고 여유로운 삶을 시작하려고 한다. 그러나 이에 반대하는 세력과 이를 지지하는 세력의 알력과 힘싸움이 생긴다. 천상황제의 동생이자 2위 계승권자인 ‘태평왕’은 제국의 변경을 제압하지만 아직 ‘문황자’의 세력은 아직 안정되지 않았으니....
